Ah, how we'll miss the relentless drone of those 'hilarious' vuvuzelas next week!

Or maybe not. With the England team sneaking back to Blighty, tails between legs, reputation in tatters, Marks & Sparks suits on their way to the refund counter, what we need is a damn good cheer up!

And what better way than to take yourself as far away from South Africa as poss. (By phone of course. And via Cherry even more of course).

Naturally, we've lined up some post-world-cup-blues, hot off the press, super-saver international call rates that are just the ticket:

How about calling Antarctica? Now under a pound at last. You can now p-p-p-pick up a call to a penguin for just 75p a minute!

Not tempted? No, guess not. How about somewhere a little less frosty? Iceland mobiles now down to 8p a minute, for example? Or Finland for 2p? Switzerland for 1p?

Somewhere even less chilly? How about, er, Chile? You can call a Chile mobile now for just 3p a minute. Just up the continent, you can talk to Columbia for 2p, or 4p to a mobile.

Just call the magic number!

1: Go to CherryCall.co.uk to get the Cherry Call number to ring for the country you want to call

2: Dial it and you'll hear a voice asking you to dial your normal overseas number

3: Dial the full international number, including the international dialling code starting with 00 (zero zero).

4: When you're done, just ring off as usual.

With Cherry Call, there are absolutely no PINs to remember, no sign-ups, or passwords to remember. Refreshing, yes? The call will appear on your bill as usual but the number dialled will simply show as the Cherry Call code you dialled first. So, for example, if you'd called the good ol’ US of A, it would appear as 0844 6050 444. But you'd only have paid 1p a minute!
